What do you do here at Wright Lab?

I work on the PROSPECT experiment. I am the main analyzer for our Uranium 235 spectrum result, but have also been heavily involved in hardware testing, detector construction and disassembly, instrumentation, and a wide array of various analysis tasks.

What is the most unique and/or exciting experience you’ve had here at Wright Lab?

The one that sticks out the most was getting to speak with Pulitzer Prize winner Richard Rhodes! There have also been quite a few intense puzzle and game match offs with coworkers between work tasks.

What are you looking forward to in the coming year at Wright Lab?

Feels weird to say, but I guess leaving! Over the past few years, Wright Lab has been great in preparing myself as a graduate student, and I’m now getting ready to finish my thesis and move on to further exciting opportunities. Of course, I plan to enjoy my remaining time here to its fullest.

What is something that people might not know about you that you’d like to share with the community?

I didn’t know when I first started, but the experimental site for PROSPECT is located in my hometown. During construction, I’d occasionally get paid to go home! (and work there…)
