What do you do here at Wright Lab?

I am a research support technician.   I provide fabrication, machining and technical support.  I help support multiple physicists and multiple projects.

What is the most unique and/or exciting experience you’ve had here at Wright Lab?

I was at the Gibbs shop for 25 years before coming to Wright Lab and it was a big transition.  It has been a great experience being at Wright Lab for the past 5 years and working with a new and ever-changing group of people.

What are you looking forward to in the coming year at Wright Lab?

We are starting up production on the ATLAS stave core project.  I work on the fabrication of the stave cores.  I’m also working on a focal plate for Charlie Baltay’s ESO QUEST camera upgrade.

What is something that people might not know about you that you’d like to share with the community?

I was a volunteer fireman for 8 years before I came to work at the Gibbs shop.  I like camping; I have a seasonal campsite; I camp with my grandson.  I collect farm tractors and have a substantial farm tractor collection.  I raise chickens and ducks and if you’re interested in some eggs, let me know!
