What do you do here at Wright Lab?  I work with Professors Karsten Heeger and Reina Maruyama on CUORE/CUPID, a neutrino experiment searching for a theoretical process called neutrinoless double beta decay. I am currently working on developing a muon veto system to reduce backgrounds at CUPID and CUORE.

What is the most unique and/or exciting experience you’ve had here at Wright Lab? I had a late meeting one night; I decided to order food and have it delivered to the lab. When I picked up my food, the driver asked me whether I knew what was happening inside Wright Lab, because he said that in the 80’s there was a rumor that there were missiles being built at Wright Lab. I reassured him nothing like that happens at Wright Lab, but it was a unique interaction for me.

What are you looking forward to in the coming year at Wright Lab? I am very excited about building the muon veto system next summer! Working with hardware and electronics is my favorite part of being in physics.

What is something that people might not know about you that you’d like to share with the community?  I love stand-up comedy. When I lived in NYC I would go to different shows frequently.
