What do you do here at Wright Lab?
I work on understanding the properties of neutrinos. I divide my time among three neutrino experiments: Project 8CUORE, and  PROSPECT.

  • On the Project 8 experiment, I, along with several other members of Wright Lab and other institutions, am working on conceptual design of the detection system in the next phase of the experiment.
  • On the CUORE experiment, I am working with graduate and undergraduate students in figuring out ways to reduce the backgrounds in the experiment.
  • I got my Ph.D. from the work I did on the PROSPECT experiment searching for sterile neutrinos. I am advising current and future sterile neutrino searches on the experiment.

What is the most unique and/or exciting experience you’ve had here at Wright Lab?
I enjoyed designing a competitive event for school students as part of the YPO 2019 (Yale Physics Olympics).

What is something that people might not know about you that you’d like to share with the community?
I worked as a software engineer for about a year back in India before I came to the US to study physics.

Where do you like to work remotely?
Dining table converted to work bench.
