What do you do here at Wright Lab?

I work on the HAYSTAC experiment! Specifically, I have focused on the implementation of a quantum squeezed state system to speed up the search for axions. Over the last few years, I have worked on everything from detector development to data analysis. Having been involved with so many parts of the experiment has been incredibly rewarding.

What is the most unique and/or exciting experience you’ve had here at Wright Lab?

This isn’t one experience, but I have loved giving tours of my lab. I have gotten to give lab tours to groups that range from elementary aged kids to the United States Department of Energy (DOE) Undersecretary for Science and his entourage.

What is something that people might not know about you that you’d like to share with the community?

I love sewing! I hadn’t taken on any big sewing projects in a long time, but having more time at home recently has given me an opportunity to get back into it. I’ve finished a couple of skirts and a dress since the pandemic started.

Where do you like to work remotely?

I have converted half of my kitchen table into a desk space. Being close to the kitchen for snacks is definitely a plus to working from home.
