What do you do here at Wright Lab?

I work on the direct detection of dark matter search experiment COSINE, in Prof. Reina Maruyama’s group. I’ve been involved in the detector’s R&D; its commissioning; and searches for the WIMP and annual modulation signature. I am also a member of the Prof. Karsten Heeger group and am working on the detector R&D for the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE).

What is the most unique and/or exciting experience you’ve had here at Wright Lab?

I am happy to make new friends at Wright Lab who are admirable and love to work in a mutually supportive atmosphere. I am impressed by the machine shop and engineering experts at the lab and am fascinated to work closely with them.

What are you looking forward to in the coming year at Wright Lab?

I am looking for more opportunities that allow getting more hands-on experience using the Wright Lab facilities. I will be involved in the production of the charge readout plane for the DUNE collaboration. Besides science, I look forward to participating in social events hosted by the Yale community.

What is something that people might not know about you that you’d like to share with the community?

I am passionate about offroad motorcycle rides and love to experience water crossings, dusty gravel roads, and rocky ascents. I was a radio personality and hosted different programs before graduate school.
