Who’s Who at the Lab-Camille Simeone

Name:
Camille Simeone
Position:
Senior Administrative Assistant
What do you do here at Wright Lab?
I am an administrative assistant and I have the pleasure of supporting Charlie Baltay, Chris Lynn, and Reina Maruyama. It’s my job and privilege to help make their days a little easier so they can make the science happen!

What is the most unique and/or exciting experience you’ve had here at Wright Lab?
I haven’t been here for very long yet, but I think just working here is a truly unique experience! Just rounding a corner could have you looking into a machine shop or at a triceratops skull. Not a lot of places are like that!

What are you looking forward to in the coming year at Wright Lab?
Every first year is something to look forward to. Learning the ebb and flow of events and activities; visitors and graduations—it really is something new every day. I can’t wait to see what it will be tomorrow!

What is something that people might not know about you that you’d like to share with the community?
I have my B.F.A. in animation and I am really passionate about the medium! It is not difficult to goad me into chatting about recent or classic animated films, and I have a LOT of opinions about both. There is something really magical about seeing lines on paper or a lump of clay or even just a little action figure start to move; have life breathed into it; become this little illusion of a living thing. Magical, and scientific! But mostly magical.
