We offer research experiences and thesis projects for graduate, postgraduate, and undergraduate students. The experience includes:
- hands-on research experiences in nuclear, particle, and astrophysics and quantum science
- mentoring from Yale faculty researchers
- training workshops and orientations for the Advanced Prototyping Center (APC), machine shop and computing facilities at Wright Lab, as well as professional development opportunities.
- immersion in the Wright Lab and Yale research communities
- networking with the national nuclear physics community
- opportunities to participate in outreach

Yale Graduate School Preview Days
As part of its efforts to recruit an exceptional pool of applicants to its Ph.D. programs, Yale’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences will be hosting in-person Preview Days on September 29-October 1, 2025. We will bring a selected group of prospective PhD applicants to New Haven to meet with Yale faculty and current graduate students, learn about the PhD application process, and explore Yale’s campus. We will cover the cost of their travel, accommodations, and meals. Applications to participate in Preview Days must be submitted by July 25, 2025.

Postbaccalaureate traineeships
We offer summer and academic year research opportunities for postgraduates, both from Yale and from other institutions. These positions are available in Wright Lab research groups.
