Wright Lab professor Bonnie Fleming has been appointed as the Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) in the Yale University Department of Physics for the 2019-2020 academic year. Professor Simon Mochrie has been been re-appointed as the Director of Undergraduate Studies (DUS).
Karsten Heeger, the Chair of the Physics Department and Director of Wright Laboratory, wrote in an E-mail to the department, “I would like to express my special thanks to Sean Barrett for his many years of service as DGS in our department. His work and tireless efforts have been essential in helping our students navigate the graduate program and complete their degrees. I would also like to thank Nikhil Padmanabhan and Reina Maruyama who served as DGS and DUS respectively last year during during academic leaves.”
