Wright Lab hosted the La Silla-QUEST Southern Variability Survey workshop on Saturday, February 24, 2018. The workshop brought together a new international collaboration from four continents, with a total of 19 participants from the United States, China, France, Spain and the United Kingdom.
The workshop featured several talks focusing on the upcoming proposal for the survey and QUEST camera upgrade, both in science motivation and technical feasibility. The workshop also left ample time for discussions on the science coordination, instrument specification, consortium organization and implementation of an operational plan. The result of the workshop is a fleshed-out proposal that will be submitted to funding agencies.
