Join the YPPDO for a presentation by Anthony J. Annunziata, Associate Director, IBM Q, IBM, and Yale Applied Physics PhD (GRD ’10), where he will reflect on his career development and research opportunities at IBM and in industry. Dr. Annunziata received a B.A. in Physics from Colgate University and a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Yale University in 2010 with Prof. Daniel Prober specializing in single-photon detectors based on superconducting nanowires. After graduation, he joined IBM as a post-doc research scientist. During his 8 years at IBM, he leaded research projects on nanophysics and material science. He is experienced with technical leadership and business management. He is currently the associate director of IBM Q, a startup inside IBM developing quantum computers for business and science.
