A group of local US Air Force, Army, and Naval ROTC members were commisioned to the ranks of the U.S. armed services in a ceremony at Battell Chapel after the Yale University commencement on Monday.

Cadets and midshipmen from Yale College’s Class of 2026, as well as graduates from other nearby colleges, including the University of New Haven, Western Connecticut State University, and Quinnipiac, received their official appointments as military officers.

Wright Lab’s Cleber Redondo ‘26 is now an officer in the Navy.  Redondo worked with assistant professor Laura Havener on the “Construction of Neutron and Gamma Shielding for HRPPD Irradiation Tests”.
