Physics Club: Daniel Spielman, Yale University, “Data Science at Yale”

The purpose of this talk is give my view of what Data Science looks like and how it will develop. I will begin by defining the field, and surveying some of the current Data Science activities at Yale, focusing on the Department of Statistics and Data Science. To make the discussion concrete, I will explain some of the ongoing research in Data Science at Yale, including some of my own.
