Wright Lab COVID-19 Response

people working in advanced prototyping

Wright Lab is supporting the University’s response to COVID-19 in several ways:

  • The Wright Lab scientific, engineering, and technical team are currently assisting the medical community through design and prototyping efforts, utilizing Wright Lab’s unique infrastructure, expertise, and equipment.  Projects include the reverse-engineering and CAD modeling of parts that are expected to be in short supply, improvements to non-contact thermometry, and assisting with the design of a ventilator multiplexer.
  • Wright Lab researchers are offering their expertise in data analysis and manipulation that is essential for research in fundamental physics for managing and interpreting  the data for COVID-19 research.
  • The Vice Provost for Research has reached out to PIs and research groups to donate personal protective equipment, and Wright Lab groups have contributed to these donations.
